Maundy Thursday – March 29th
7:00 pm, A Maundy Thursday Service of Remembrance & Communion
We will have a re-enactment of the Last Supper patterned after the Da Vinci painting. The “hand bell room” in our sanctuary will be transformed into the upper room with participants invited to come forward and take a seat at the Lord’s Table as one of Christ’s disciples, breaking the bread and drinking the cup. For his message for the evening, Pastor Buddy will speak from John about servanthood and “Extreme Humility.” If you have attended this service in the past, you will certainly want to come back this year, and if you haven’t attended before, you should plan now to attend. Invite a friend. It promises to bring new meaning to your Holy Week Observances!
Good Friday – March 30th
7:30 pm Community Good Friday Service, at First United Methodist Church
The Warren Area Ministerial will again hold a Community Good Friday Service. This years’ service will be held at 7:30 pm at First United Methodist Church, 200 Market Street in Warren. A Community Choir will provide special music for the service.
Saturday – March 31st
10:00 am - Noon, Community Easter Party & Egg Hunt
Children from preschool to grade 6 from the North Warren Presbyterian Community Day Care, Sunday School, and their friends are invited to a Community Easter Egg Hunt and Party. This is not only a time of fun and excitement for the children, but a great opportunity for them to invite their friends to hear that Jesus died and rose again so we can have a good relationship with God. For some of these kids, it could easily be the first time they hear the story of the Gospel, so don’t overlook this opportunity to invite the children into the church.
Easter Sunday – April 1st
7:00 am, Outdoor Community Easter Sunrise Service in Community Park
Come and worship the Risen Lord with your friends and neighbors in the North Warren Presbyterian Church Community Park as we face the sun together and give praise to the “Risen Son!” The service will take place outside (rain or shine) in the Dave Clark Pavilion. Be Missional – invite a friend to join you.
Breakfast Following the Community Park Sunrise Service
The Youth Group will provide a hot breakfast in Fellowship Hall featuring egg casserole and fresh baked goods! The breakfast is provided free of charge, but the youth do ask you to consider making a donation to the Youth Mission Fund for our Summer Mission Trip.
9:30 am, Sunday School for all ages
Our Easter observances will continue with our regular Sunday School classes for nursery to adults, celebrating the Good News of Christ's Resurrection.
11:00 am, Worship of the Risen Lord
The Celebration of the Resurrection of the Lord continues with a special service of praise and thanksgiving. The sanctuary will be decorated with flowers, the Qadosh Bells will play, and we will celebrate our Lord’s Resurrection together.
